This is literally what one of my former students texted right now. She knows I’m a car guy, but I can’t help but think that autocorrect had more to do with this.

When one of your students is texting you at this hour on a holiday and their phone autocorrects based on you, you’re going to jail, from what I see in the news.

What grade are we talking here? Jesus.

I can’t imagine texting a teacher/professor when I was in school

Former student, actually. I just keep referring to them as my students long after they leave me; this particular woman is also a congregant of my church, and sings in the choir...so I guess technically I’m still her teacher in that respect.

This was actually a former student, not a current one. But they do actually make specific tools for transparent teacher-student communication. I know that when I was a kid, I certainly could have used three text reminders to put my homework in my backpack in the morning.
